Handwritten Postcard Shipping Times: Germany Self-Serve and Manual Quotes

Handwrite supports two different delivery models, and the pricing logic is different for each:

• Send all cards to me — we ship the finished batch to you
• Mail directly to recipients — we dispatch each postcard individually

Self-serve checkout currently supports Germany only for both delivery models.

EU and international campaigns are available by manual quote so we can confirm timing, VAT, shipping, and any customs requirements before production.

Which shipping model should you choose?

• Send all cards to me — best for office teams, events, gifts, or any campaign where you want to add something by hand before the cards go out.
• Mail directly to recipients — best for customer thank-you campaigns, follow-up mailings, or distributed recipient lists where your team should not handle each card manually.

1. Send all cards to me

This is the default mode in checkout.

• The finished batch is shipped to your address.
• Shipping is included in the postcard price.
• There is no separate shipping line for standard batch delivery.
• You can optionally add blank envelopes for €0.25 net per card.

2. Mail directly to recipients

If you want us to mail each postcard directly, a per-card surcharge applies:

• Germany: €0.95 net per recipient

EU or international direct-mail campaigns are quoted manually.

Delivery estimates

• Germany: 1-2 business days
• EU or international manual-quote campaigns: confirmed before the order is accepted

These are transit times after production is complete. Production typically takes 3-4 business days for smaller orders and 5-8 business days for larger campaigns.

Duties and taxes

Germany self-serve orders use German VAT in checkout. EU and international campaigns are quoted manually until Stripe Tax, OSS, and non-EU export handling are fully configured.
