Handwritten Mail Pricing: Volume Discounts, Direct Mail Costs, and VAT
Understand handwritten postcard and Card + Envelope pricing, volume discount tiers, direct-mail surcharges, VAT, and which setup fits your campaign.
We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Here's everything you need to know about how we price our handwritten postcards and Card + Envelope sets.
Two products are live today:
- Postcard — A6 handwritten postcard, shipped open (no envelope by default).
- Card + Envelope — folded A6 card with a matching handwritten addressed envelope.
The main pricing choice is usually not the product itself. It is whether you want a finished batch shipped to you or each card mailed directly to the recipient.
Postcard — Base Pricing
Each handwritten postcard starts at €4.95 net (€5.89 incl. 19% VAT) and includes:
- Premium A6 postcard (148mm × 105mm)
- Your personalized handwritten message
- Recipient address handwritten on the card
- Quality inspection before shipping
Postcard — Volume Discounts
The more cards you send, the more you save. Volume tiers are applied automatically at checkout based on the total quantity in your order:

Tip: If you're close to a tier threshold, adding a few more recipients can unlock a cheaper per-card price.
Card + Envelope — Base Pricing
Each Card + Envelope set includes:
- Premium folded A6 card (148 × 210 mm open, 148 × 105 mm folded)
- Your personalized handwritten message on the inside spread
- A matching envelope with the recipient address written by our pen plotters
- Quality inspection before shipping
Sets start at €7.48 net (€8.90 incl. 19% VAT) per set.

Shipping
How your cards are delivered affects the final price.
Send to you (default)
We ship the finished batch to your address. Shipping is included in the product price for both postcards and Card + Envelope sets — there is no separate shipping line.
Mail direct to recipients
We can dispatch each card individually to its recipient. This adds a per-card fulfillment surcharge that applies to postcards and Card + Envelope sets alike:

EU or international direct-mail campaigns are quoted manually until the tax and shipping setup is ready for self-serve checkout.
Optional Add-ons
- Blank envelopes (postcards only) — add one matching blank envelope per postcard for €0.25 net each when the finished batch is shipped to you.
Blank envelopes are not available when we mail postcards directly to recipients. Card + Envelope sets already include a matching envelope, so the blank-envelope add-on does not apply.
Which pricing setup fits which use case?
- Ship the batch to me — best when your team wants to sign, sort, or hand over the cards in person.
- Mail direct to recipients — best for distributed customer lists, event follow-up, and campaigns where speed matters more than internal handling.
- Add blank envelopes — best when you want the premium feel of a batch delivery but still need an envelope for handoffs or later distribution.

Checkout is processed through Stripe. The exact payment methods shown depend on the customer and region, but the available options are displayed directly in checkout before payment is confirmed.
Practical pricing rule of thumb
If you want a fast estimate:
- Start with €4.95 net per postcard
- Apply the correct quantity tier
- Add €0.95 net per German recipient only if you want us to mail each card directly
- Add €0.25 net per card only if you want loose blank envelopes with a batch shipped to you
EU or international campaigns are manual quotes for now.
